Prairie City News, April 5 – D. A. Griffits died last Friday on the train enroute from Prairie City to California, where he was going in hope of renewing his failing health. He was aged 33 years, 6 months and 4 days. A wife and five of the seven children born to them are still living. The remains were brought back here for interment after the funeral which was held last Tuesday afternoon from the M E. church.
