Life Story of Dorothy Graham
Dorothy Deana Graham, 74, of 917 Locust St., Des Moines, a resident of Prairie City until 1954, died Monday at her home.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Walters Funeral Home in Prairie City.
The Rev. Wayne K. Anderson, pastor of the Monroe Baptist Church, conducted the services. Burial was in Monroe Silent city Cemetery.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Doyle (Gwendolyn) Waddle of Monroe and Mrs. Carl (Mercedes) Booher of Bruce, Wis.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Charles Deere of Kansas City, Mo., Fred Deere of Newton, Leo Deere of Hallack, Minn., and Louis Deere of Kennedy, Minn.
Mrs. Graham was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Des Moines.
She had been a beautician at Haircraft Beauty Salon in Des Moines.
The daughter of Louis and Lena Stevens Deere, she was born April 3, 1898 in Vandalia and was a 1950 graduate of American Beauty School in Des Moines.
