Mrs. DeBolt of Colfax is Dead
Dies Suddenly at Her Home Following Brief Illness With Influenza
Colfax, Dec. 21 – Special to the Newton Daily News – Mrs. H. E. DeBolt of Colfax, died Suddenly at her home last evening from influenza which later developed into pneumonia. She was about 40 years of age at the time of her death.
Mrs. DeBolt is survived by her husband, two small daughters, Lois age eight years and Virginia, age six years, her mother, Mrs. W. J. Shiley all of Colfax. She is also survived by one sister, Miss Tet Shiley of Colfax and one brother, William J. Shiley jr., of Colfax.
No funeral arrangements have been made. Mr. De bolt is connected with the Union Tea company here.

Conduct Services for Mrs. DeBolt This Afternoon
Colfax, Dec. 24 – Special to the Newton Daily News – Funeral rites were conducted this afternoon at 2 o’clock for Mrs. H. e. DeBolt of Colfax, at the home and burial was in the Highland cemetery in Colfax. Rev. Theodore Morning of the First Presbyterian church, had charge of the services.
Mrs. DeBolt died suddenly at her home Thursday evening at the age of 40 years. Her brother, William J. Shiley of Chicago has arrived for the funeral services.
