Mrs. Eliza A. Crawford, who died at her home near Ira last Monday, was aged 72 years, 10 months and 7 days. She was a native of Ohio, and in 1847 was united by marriage to James B. Crawford (who died some 13 years ago) and the mother of his six children of whom five survive her. Mrs. Crawford professed religion at the age of 17, and was always thereafter a consistent Christian and faithful member of the Presbyterian Church. Rev. Quickenden, pastor of the Colfax Presbyterian church, conducted the funeral which was from the Union Chapel Wednesday afternoon and interment was in the cemetery adjoining. A large number of friends and neighbors were in attendance.
