Mrs. Margaret Watt Dies After few Days Illness

Mrs. Margaret Watt died last night at 7:30 at the home of her son, Lawson Watt, nine miles northwest of town. She had taken sick only the night before and her death comes as a shock and surprise to her relatives who did not realize her serious condition. Mr. watt just passed her 87th birthday. She leaves six children, two of whom are living in California, and the other four are residents of Jasper county.

Mrs. Watt was a good christian woman. She was a charter member of the Congregational church and was a faithful attendant until poor health and old age preventer her form going out.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at the home at 10:30. Rev. Kemp of the Congregational church officiating. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa, March 29, 1912, page 1.
