Thomas Beintema Dies Early Today
Funeral Services Will Be Held Friday Morning at Murdoch Funeral Home
Thomas M. Beintema, pioneer Jasper County resident, died this morning at 7:15 o’clock at the home of his son, one mile east of Newton at the age of 82 years. Mr. Beintema had been ill for the last week suffering from an attack of the influenza.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:30 o’clock at the Murdoch Funeral home and burial will be made in the cemetery at Pella. The funeral services will be conducted by Dr. George C. Williams pastor of the Congregational church of this city.
Mr. Beintema is survived by two sons, Minard Beintema and Pete Beintema and four daughters, Mrs. J. A. Trussler, Mrs. W. E. Johnston, Mrs. J. C. Suman and Mrs. H. H. Witmer. Three children and his wife preceded him in death. One son, John, died at the age of 10 years, one son, Ed, died during the war and one child died in infancy.

Beintema Rites Conducted Today at Murdoch Home
Funeral services for Thomas M. Beintema were held this morning at 10:30 o’clock at the Murdoch funeral home and burial was in the cemetery at Pella. Dr. George C. Williams, pastor of the Congregational church of this city had charge of the rites.
Mr. Beintema is survived by two sons, Minard Beintema and Pete Beintema and four daughters, Mrs. J. A. Trussler, Mrs. J. C. Suman, Mrs. H. H. Witmer and Mrs. W. E. Johnston. His wife preceded him in death.
He died Wednesday morning at 7:15 o’clock at the home of his son near Newton at the age of 82 years. He had been ill for the last week suffering with influenza.
