Thomas G. Probasco, 77, died Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, December 19, 2011, at Grandview Park Funeral Home.

Thomas was born June 19, 1934, in Centerville, Iowa, to Ronald and Colleen (Gale) Probasco. After graduating from Newton High School, he served in the United States Army. He worked as a lab technician for Bituminous Material and Supply and retired after 32 years of employment.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Probasco; children, Terri Probasco of Storm Lake, Deb Hefty of LuVerne, Ron Probasco of The Colony, TX, Pam (Neil) Deutsch of Urbandale, Tom (Kim) Probasco of LuVerne, Don (Angie) Probasco of Ankeny; grandchildren, Tyler, Brianne, Travis (Bridget), Matthew, Michael, Riley, Kyle, Austin, Jared, Brandon, Ella; great-grandchildren, Berkley, Kylie, Jaxson; and his brother, Joe (Sandy) Probasco of Brighton, CO.

Thomas was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Blaine Hefty and brothers, Donald and Robert "Ike" Probasco.
