Dies Wednesday Oct 5; Rites SaturdayMrs. Ernest (Anna Pearl) Kain, 76, of Prairie City, a longtime resident of Percy, died Wednesday evening at Paynesville, Minn, while on vacation.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon at the United Methodist Church in Prairie City.
The Rev. Jonnie Kain, pastor of the Baptist Church in Bremerton, Washington, and the Rev. Peter Waud, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, south of Prairie City.
Memorial contributions to a fund set up in Mrs. Kain’s name will be accepted. Memorials may be left at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home. Walters Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City is handling arrangements.
Survivors are four sons, Bernard of Prairie City, Clyde of Runnells, the Rev. Johnnie of Bremerton, Washington, and Cloman of Runnels: four daughters, Mrs. Rolland (Pauline) Herwehe of Prairie City, Mrs. Floyd (Colene) Murphy of Swan, Mrs. William (Darlene) King of Heritage, Tennessee and Mrs. Marvin (Marlene) McReynolds of Prairie City; and a brother, Russell Quick of Prairie City; 42 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister and a grandchild.
Mrs. Kain was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, south of Prairie City. The daughter of Edward and Laura Perryman Quick, she was born October 30, 1900 at Vandalia. She was married November 30, 1918 at Knoxville.
