Ruth Ellen (Keith) Logue
April 15, 1924 ~ March 18, 2017 (age 92)

Service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 22nd at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton.

The family will greet friends from 10-11 a.m., Wednesday, March 22nd at the funeral home.

Burial will be at the Newton Union Cemetery in Newton.

Memorials in Ruth’s name may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home. Memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home, please put, Attn: Logue Family on the envelope.

Ruth Ellen Keith Logue, the daughter of James and Adella Miller Keith was born on April 15, 1924 in rural Melcher, Iowa. She attended the Melcher Schools in Melcher. Ruth moved to Newton, Iowa in 1951.

On January 19, 1952, Ruth was united in marriage with William Calvin Logue in Princeton, Missouri. They were blessed with nine children, Kenny, Doug, Richard, Bennie, Susie, Lola, Ed, Della and Terry. She was a production worker at the Maytag Company in Newton during WW II making things for the war effort. Following WW II she worked as a cook in several restaurants in the Newton area including the Terrace Inn. Ruth was a member of the Ladies of the Moose. Ruth loved being with her family. She also enjoyed reading newspapers, collecting chickens. She also sent out cards to family and friends on any occasion.

Ruth died on March 18, 2017 at the Skiff Medical Center in Newton, she was 92. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Calvin in 1991; Sons, Kenny (Mieko) Logue and Doug Logue; siblings, Jim (Mae) Keith, Grace (Dean) Hawkins, Betty (Joe) Gomez, Franny (Carol) Talbot, Gene Keith, Polly Sanders and Henry Keith.

Those left to cherish Ruth’s memory are her children, Richard (Glenda) Crook of Newton, Bennie Logue of Shepard, Texas, Susie (Jerry) Wallace of Colo, Lola (Lonnie) Lamb of Newton, Ed (Marla) Logue of Newton, Della (Patrick) Payton of Newton and Terry (Becky) Logue of Newton; her daughter-in-law, Lori Logue of Chariton; twenty-four grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter, her siblings, Glen Keith of Gordon, Texas and Beth (Carl) McGee of Kellogg; and many nieces and nephews. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa 18 Mar 2017.
