Kris-ann Lake, 47, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, at her home in Des Moines.

Kris-ann was born Aug. 31, 1969, in Pensacola, Fla., to Woodrow and Judy (Wickliff) Hardy. Kris-ann loved nature animals of all kinds. She loved to read and write and listen to rock ‘n’ roll, her favorite being The Grateful Dead. Her favorite thing though, was being with her son who she loved with all her heart.

Kris-ann is survived by her son, Tyler Lake of Des Moines; parents, Judy (Terry) Bradley; sister, Pamela Hardy of West Des Moines; partner, Chris Meimann; stepmother, Bobby Hardy; stepsisters, Shannon and Julie; half-sister, Cindy Capa; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow W. Hardy, Jr.; her maternal grandparents, Don and Mary Wickliff; and her paternal grandparents, Woodrow and Marguerite Hardy, Sr.
