JACK BALMER

BALMER, Jack Mr. Jack L. Balmer, 72, of Marietta passed away December 4, 2009. A native of Iowa, he moved to Atlanta in 1964. After working in accounting for several years in Atlanta, he formed his own residential construction company in Marietta in 1976, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed outdoor activities, travel, his family and playing cards, especially bridge.

Those surviving who will miss him dearly are his wife, Elaine; daughter, Amy and husband Tom; granddaughters Lauren and Audrey, all of Marietta; twin brother, Jim Balmer and wife Mary of Newton, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of H.M. Patterson and Son, Canton Hill. Burial will follow in Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society or the organization of your choice. ~ The Chapel of H. M. Patterson and Son, Marietta, GA. 4 Dec 2009.
