Norma Lou Parr, age 77 of Pella, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at The Cottages in Pella. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November, 26, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Monroe Presbyterian Church, with burial following at Silent City Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Friday, November 25, 2016, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe. Memorials may be directed to the Monroe Emergency unit or the Monroe Presbyterian Church. Condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com

The daughter of Max and Marie (Rietveld) Wheeler, Norma was born on January 24, 1939, in Marion County, Iowa. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1957. On April 6, 1958, she was united in marriage to Alvin Lee Parr at the Presbyterian Church in Monroe. Norma worked at PAG in Monroe. She was a member of the Monroe Presbyterian Church. Norma enjoyed traveling with her husband, reading, music and the outdoors. Her greatest enjoyment, however came from the time she spent with her three grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory include her son, Tim (Charina) Parr of Pella; three grandchildren, Ashley, Brian and Heather and a sister, Arlene Schneider of Cedar Rapids.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband in 1995; an infant son, Michael Lee and a brother, Donald. ~ The Coburn Funeral Home, Colfax, Iowa 22 Nov 2016.
