TOPEKA, Kan. - Cora Belle Thompson Coke, 93, of Topeka, Kan., a former resident of Metz, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, at a Topeka care center.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday at Newcomer-Diffenderfer Chapel at Topeka. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka.

Friends may call at the funeral home until time of services.

Memorials to the American Cancer Society or the organization of the donor's choice may be sent to 1315 S.W. Arrowhead Rd., Topeka, Kan. 66604.

Survivors are a granddaughter, Nancy J. Nichols of Topeka, Kan.; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David, Oct. 26, 1969 and daughter, Teresa Marie Carson, April 17, 1991.

Mrs. Coke, a member of the West Side Christian Church in Topeka, had been a hairdresser for 61 years, retiring in 1982.

The daughter of Charles Nathan and Sarah Emma Neff Thompson, she was born Nov. 21, 198 at Metz and attended a cosmetology school and Strickler's School of Business.

She was married to David Jesse Coke Oct. 25, 1916. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Fri 16 Aug 1991.
