July 17, 1979 ~ October 19, 2016 (age 37)

Tony Gilkison, 37, of Colfax, died on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at his home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 26, at the Newton Baptist Temple. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorials in Tony’s name may be left at the church the day of the service or at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.

Tony, the son of Evelyn Gilkison, was born on July 17, 1979 along with his twin brother, Terry, in Newton. He grew up in Mitchellville. He had lived in Colfax for the last 8 years and worked at Hoodz of Central Iowa in Des Moines. He enjoyed four wheeling and spending time with his boys, taking them to the park. Tony also was an avid Chicago Bears fan and liked watching Duck Dynasty.

Those left to honor Tony’s memory are his mother, Evelyn (Lonnie) Hunsucker of Colfax; significant other, Lindsay Sudbrock of Colfax; three sons, Trevor, Tyler, and Jace Gilkison; twin brother, Terry (Jennifer) Gilkison of Mingo; brother, Rickey Hunsucker of Colfax; sister, Sheree (Josh) Smith of Newton; grandmother, Lois Gilkison of Colfax; and his many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
