Alex Arvin Zentner, age 75 of Otley, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016. Graveside memorial services will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter. There will be no visitation. The son of Tony and Clara (Haas) Zentner, Alex was born on December 24, 1940, in Sydney, Montana. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1963 - 1965. Alex was a member of the Otley Community Church and the Monroe American Legion. He achieved a sharpshooter metal and never did see the target. Alex enjoyed old cars and old women. His favorite car was a 61 Vespa. He was a jack-of-all-trades and a master of none and loved to polka dance.

Those left to honor his memory include his three children; Richard Zentner, Randy Zentner and Penny Gittings; two grandchildren; and his siblings; Mona, Darrell, Rick, Rudy, and Wanda.
