Orval Teed Services Today, June 4

Funeral services for Orval Lloyd Teed, 69, a lifelong resident of Jasper County, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, (Today) June 4, at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.

The Rev. John McKinstry, pastor of the Howard Street Christian Church, conducted services. Burial was in Colfax Cemetery.

Graveside military rites will be conducted by JOnes-Willis Post of the American Legion.

Mr. Teed died Monday afternoon, June 1, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

He was born January 12, 1923 in Clear Creek Township in Jasper County near Collins to Squire Delroy and Eldie Jeanette Neal Teed.

Mr. teed, a Navy Veteran of World War II, was a member of the American Legion. He was employed as a machinist at Fruehauf, from which he had retired.

Survivors are his wife, Frieda Gibson Teed; one son and daughter-in-law, Pat and Ronda Teed of Colfax; two daughters, Mary(Mrs. Tom) McKinney of Kellogg and Marcia (Mrs. Duane) Bruxvoort of Colfax; 11 grandchildren and one sister, Belva Ingersoll of Madrid.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Gail, Harvey, Roy and an infant brother, and seven sisters, Sarah, Arminda, Jessie, Blacnche, Stella, Alberta, and Virginia. ~ The Jasper County tribune, Colfax, Iowa thur 4 June 1992.
