Angela T. (Schmidt) Hindman, the daughter of Carl Casper and Anna Marie (Manning) Schmidt was born on June 18, 1926 in Newton, Iowa. She was a graduate of Newton High School in 1944.

On May 2, 1946, Angela was united in marriage with Clair Nelson Hindman in Newton. They were blessed with five children, Shellie, Nick, Scott, Shannon and Natalie. Angela was a homemaker; she had also worked as an office assistant for Doug Carpenter and Dennis Den Hartog. She was a very active member of the Democratic Party. Angela was also an active member of her NHS Class of 1944. She enjoyed classic movies, reading and listening to NPR (National Public Radio). Angela was a devoted and loving wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt and friend.

Angela died on Friday, September 23, 2016, at Accura Healthcare of Newton East in Newton, she was 90. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clair; sister, Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Green.

Those left to cherish Angela’s memory are her children, Shellie (Ed) Nall of Clinton, Utah, Nick Hindman (Donna Steiniche) of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, Scott Hindman (Maggie Solasberry) of Newton, Shannon (Jim) Bergman of Newton and Natalie Chandler of Newton; grandchildren, Duane Nall, Brian Nall, Nick Hindman, Jr., Reagan Hindman, Matthew Hindman, Patrick Hindman, Erika Hindman, Sydney Bergman, Adrienne Bergman, Hunter Chandler and Logan Chandler; several great-grandchildren, her sister, Kathryn Davis of Pleasant Hill, Iowa and many nieces and nephews. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa 23 Sept 2016.
