Wife of Former Ira Pastor died

Lena L. Flinn, wife of The Rev. Gerald (Jerry) Flinn, former Ira pastor, died Feb. 17, 1992.

She was born Feb. 1912 in Waukee, to Joseph S. and Opal Main Leonard. She graduated from Waukee High School and from Drake University in Des Moines. She taught high school music, speech and drama in Dexter.

Lena and Rev. Flinn were married Jan. 3, 1935 in Bethany, Mo. From 1942 until Jerry's death in 1974, the Flinns served 15 churches in the Washington, D. C. area.

Lena is survived by her son, Donald Flinn, daughter, Mary Kay Mueller; two sisters, Thelma Anderson and Margaret Law; one brother, Henry Leonard; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many friends. ~ The Jasper County Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Thurs 11 June 1992.
