New Era, Feb. 7 – Walter Russell died in this place Friday, Feb. 1, 1901. He was born in Maryland, Md., Feb. 17, 1821. At one time he was quite wealthy, but died a county charge. He was married three times, and was the father of fourteen children, nine of whom survive him. Mr. Russell was a fine old gentleman, who became poor by reason of his goodness of heart.
