Mrs. E. H. Eilander, 58, Dies, Rites To Be Tuesday
Mrs. Henry Eilander, 58, died at the Skiff Memorial hospital on Sunday at 6:45 a.m. from blood poisoning.
She was born in the Netherlands July 8, 1888 and has been in America 33 years. She is a member of the Christian Reformed church.
She is survived by her husband and seven children, Berl Eilander, Mrs. Fred Blake, Miss Tietjie Eilander, Mrs. Burnis Thompson, William Eilander, (just discharged from two years service in the navy), Henry Eilander (still overseas in the army), and Gerritt Eilander all of Newton; a sister, Mrs. L. Knott of Kalamazoo, Mich.; and two brothers, one in West Indies and one in the Netherlands; a sister-in-law, Mrs. J. Riemersma of Pella; also 12 grandchildren. A daughter, Obey preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held from the Morgan Funeral home Tuesday, 2 p.m.
Burial will be held at Mt. Zion cemetery.

Last Rites Held For Mrs. Henry Eilander, May 14
Last rites were held from the Morgan Funeral home Tuesday, May 14 for Mrs. Henrietta Eilander, who died of blood poisoning at the Skiff hospital on the previous Sunday.
Rev. I. R. Bowers officiated at the services, Marion Welle sang “In the Garden” and “Going Home” with Mrs. Isaac Welle as accompanist.
Pallbearers were James Van Baren, Isaac Welle, Ira Charlesworth, Ralph Forker, Vess Reynolds and Carl Henning.
Burial was made in the Mt. Zion cemetery.
Mrs. Eilander was born in the Netherlands July 8, 1888, and had been a resident of this country for the past 33 years. She was a member of the Christian Reformed church and is survived by her husband, Henry, and seven children.
