Services Held Monday for Mrs. Harry Worth
Services were held for Mrs. Harry Worth, 79, at the Methodist church Monday afternoon. The Rev. Orin Young, pastor of the Methodist church, and Rev. Donald Brong, pastor of the Baptist church were in charge of the services.
Mrs. Worth passed away Friday at Collins Memorial Hospital in Knoxville. She had been taken there last week after having been confined to her home for several months.
Mrs. Ralph Gloyd provided instrumental music. Mrs. Herman Hanson and Mrs. Gerald Van Zante were in charge of flowers.
Pallbearers were Jerome Coakley, Ed Vander Hart, Harold North, Gerald Van Zante, J. D. Long and Robert Ramsey. Interment was in the Monroe Cemetery.
Obituary
Mrs. Myrtle Worth, daughter of John and Frances Neff, was born June 10, 1879, at Chapin, and came to Monroe at the age of two years. She departed this life at the Collins Memorial Hospital in Knoxville Friday, March 27, at the age of 79 years.
She was married to Harry Worth March 16, 1908.
She was a faithful member of the Methodist church, the Woman’s Relief Corps, the Order of Eastern Star and the Pythian Sisters. She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
She is survived by her husband, a sister, Mae Neff, of Washington, D.C., and a brother, Glen Neff, of Long Beach, Calif., and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Harry Worth Of Monroe, Dies
Monroe (Special) – Mrs. Harry (Myrtle) Worth, 79, a longtime resident of the Monroe community, died Friday at the Collins Memorial hospital in Knoxville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday at the Monroe Methodist church.
The Rev. Orin Young, pastor of the church, assisted by the Rev. Donald Brong, pastor of the Monroe Baptist church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Monroe cemetery.
Crumpacker funeral home at Monroe is in charge of arrangements.
