Services Held
Lawrence Henry Woody, 55, of Monroe died at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines on October 26, 1987.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton.
Rev. Timothy Miller, pastor of the Reasnor United Methodist Church conducted services.
Masonic services, for Mr. Woody, past Grand Tyler of the Grand Lodge of Iowa, were conducted by Norval P. Marks, past Grand Master of Masons in Iowa, and a poem read by W. Hoyt Woody, past Grand Master of Masons in Iowa.
Survivors are his wife, Jane; three sons, Lawrence Paul of Lawrence, Kan., Scott of Iowa City and Bradley of Reasnor; two daughters, Theresa (Mrs. Paul) Rowland of Overland Park, Kan., and Adrea (Mrs. Bert) Dieter of Des Moines; three grandchildren and three sisters, Doris (Mrs. Norman) Engle of Fifty Lakes, Minn., Mary (Mrs. Norman) Van Zante of Pella and Lois (Mrs. Alan) Williams of Scottsdale, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Duane.
The son of Avery O. and Esther Johnson Woody, he was born March 16, 1932 in Newton.
He was married to Kathleen Schultze Feb. 22, 1957 and to Jane Butin Northcutt Sept. 27, 1985 in Reasnor.
