Life Story of Cynthia Woody
Cynthia Caroline Woody, 89, of Rest Haven Nursing Home, longtime resident of Newton, died Wednesday noon at the Haven.
Services were Friday afternoon at Toland-Wallace Funeral Home in Newton.
The Rev. Harold Harryman, associate pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiated and burial was in Palo Alto Cemetery.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Mrs. Henry Woody of Rest Haven Nursing Home and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
Miss Woody was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She had been employed as a practical nurse.
The daughter of Joseph H. and Louisa Wright Woody, she was born December 1, 1880 near Monroe.
Pallbearers were Hoyt Woody, Neil Woody, Maurice Woody, Rex Woody, Horace Woody, and Bernard Mercer.
