Funeral services for Edith Williams were held December 12, 2006, at Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax. Interment was December 12, 2006, at Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City.
Edith Williams, age 99, passed away Friday December 8, 2006, at Timberland Deerfield in Urbandale. She was born in rural Prairie City to Elisha and Martha (Renfro) Peery on September 8, 1907. She moved to Prairie City in 1917 where she lived until August 2005. She married Max Williams on September 4, 1937. Preceding her in death were her husband Max, daughter Maxine Brubaker, her parents and six sisters and brothers.
Surviving are her daughter Barbara Hill, son Walter Claire Williams, daughter-in-law Kathy, grandchildren Diane (Jeff) Bakk, Bradley (Theresa) Brubaker, Kristen (Brent) Kivell, Rebecca (Lance) Oelmann, Bret Williams, and Rochelle (Kevin) Mangold, and 12 great grandchildren.
