Funeral services for Ruby I. Wheeler were held Saturday, October 21, 2006, at Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. Burial was at Newton Union Cemetery.
Memorials to Hospice of Jasper County or in Ruby’s name to establish a nursing scholarship may be left at the funeral home.
Ruby was born November 15, 1922, and passed away October 19, 2006.
Ruby was a secretary in the office at the Maytag Company and a homemaker. She graduated from Newton High School in 1940.
Survivors are her 2 daughters, Linda (Nick) Klepinger of Reasnor, Iowa and Diane (Fred) Martinson of Newton, Iowa; 4 grandchildren, Chad Warrick, Denny (Dana) Warrick, Ellen Martinson, and Macy Martinson; her 6 great grandchildren, Kirsten Warrick, Jacob Warrick, Mikayla Warrick, Elizabeth Warrick, Asheley Kephart, and Deanna Kephart; and 2 sisters, Adelia Myers of Mankato, Minnesota and Elizabeth Forehand of Hillsdale, Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis C. Wheeler in 2000; her brother, George Snook, and sister, Vivian Burt.
