Life Story of Nettie Warner
Funeral services for Mrs. Ralph (Nettie L.) Warner, 69, a longtime resident of Monroe and Jasper County were held Monday in the Monroe Baptist Church.
The Rev. Wayne Anderson, minister of the church, conducted the services.
Mrs. Devayne Honnold was organist.
Pallbearers were Fred Brannen, Carroll Munger, Claire Butin, John Van Ryswyk, Harold Bowie, and Lloyd Zickel.
Mrs. Fred Brannen, Mrs. Cleo Fouch and Mrs. Jane Fennema were in charge of flowers.
Crumpacker Funeral Home in Monroe was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Warner died Friday evening in the home of her son, Dwight Warner, in Des Moines.
Survivors are a son, Dwight, of Des Moines; a daughter Mrs. Earl (Edith) Phifer of Monroe; and five grandsons, Scott Warner of Des Moines and Duaine, Carroll, Daryl and Ralph Phifer, all of Monroe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Mrs. Elva Whitted, and her husband.
Mrs. Warner was a member of the Monroe Baptist Church and the Women’s Relief Corps.
The daughter of George and Jennette Summey Lackey, she was born April 19, 1889 in the Monroe area and was a graduate of Monroe High School.
She was married to Ralph Warner at the home of her parents.
With the exception of a brief time spent in Marion County, Mrs. Warner spent her entire life in Jasper County.
