Funeral services for Bess Shannon Warner were held on August 28, 1984 at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home.
Dr. Otto Steele, Jr. officiated with interment in the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Bess Shannon Warner, the daughter of Dan and Clara Decker Shannon was born April 4, 1905 in Jasper County, Iowa and passed away at Embassy Manor Care Facility in Newton on Saturday, August 25.
She is survived by two daughters: Vivian DeGreef of Newton and Iris Ling of Ankeny, one son, Robert Warner of Escondido, Calif., one sister, Mrs. Delbert (Wilma) Thomasson of Monroe, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Ray and Floyd, and a grandson, Jon Thomas De Greef.
