Life Story of Mrs. William H. Wallace
Funeral services were held Monday, January 16 at the First Baptist Church in Pella for Mrs. William H. Wallace of Pella.
Rev. Ronald E. Cowles, officiated and interment was in Oakwood Cemetery in Pella.
Erma Ruth was born on February 13, 1913, at Pella, Iowa, the daughter of Leendert and Amelia Soetens Kaldenberg. She graduated from Pella Public High School with the Class of 1931.
Erma taught school in a country school near Pella for two years. Following that time, she began employment with the Rolscreen Company.
On June 5, 1946, she was united in marriage with William Henry Wallace at Oskaloosa, Iowa, and they made their residence in Pella. She retired from Rolscreen in 1971. Her death came early Friday morning, January 13 in the Pella Community Hospital.
Surviving is her husband, William; one sister, Mabel, Mrs. Lee Wickliff of Fayetteville, Ark.; one nephew and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Hazel, who died in infancy and one brother, Harold H. Kaldenberg.
