Earl Wagner, 81, of Monroe died of a heart ailment Monday at Hillside Convalescent Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe. Cremation will follow.
Mr. Wagner, a retired farmer and owner of Wagner Sand and Gravel Co., was born in Jasper County and lived in the Monroe area most of his life.
He is survived by a son, Dale of Santa Rosa, Calif.; a daughter, Joyce Maskrey of Des Moines; two sisters, Florence Warrick of Prairie City and Ethel DeVries of Harrison, Ark.; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
