Services Held
Marjorie C. Poortinga Vos, 71, a lifelong resident of the Otley and Pella communities, died Monday, Dec. 10, 1990, at the New Sharon Care Center.
Funeral services were held Thursday at the Pella First Reformed Church.
The Rev. Cornie Reynen, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Pella.
Survivors are two sons, Wesley of Crystal Lake, Ill., and Robert of Auburn, Wash.; a daughter, Marla (Mrs. James) Hardin of Pella; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William, in 1969 and a sister in infancy.
Mrs. Vos was a member of the Pella First Reformed Church.
She was a former employee of the Pella Manufacturing Co. and Rolscreen, both of Pella.
The daughter of Sam and Tillie Heemstra Poortinga, she was born July 21, 1919 in Otley.
She was married to William D. Vos March 15, 1938.
