Life Story of Cecil E. Vogelaar
Funeral services were held February 14 for Cecil E. Vogelaar of Ouray, Colo., who died February 9 at his home. Services were held at the Montrose, Colo. Christian Church. The Rev. James Williams of the Ouray Presbyterian Church and Evangelist Lloyd McMullan officiated. Burial was in Cedar Cemetery, Montrose, Colo.
The son of William and Marie (Den Hartog) Vogelaar, he was born July 13, 1908, at Pella, Iowa. When he was an infant the family moved to Colorado locating in the Montrose area.
He was married June 9, 1934, to Dorothy Kool at Monroe, Iowa.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas A. (Anita) Hylton of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Mrs. Leonard L. (Billee) Roe of Greeley, Colo.; seven grandchildren; a brother, Dean H. Vogelaar of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; and a sister, Mrs. H. C. (Matilda) McWilliams of Littleton.
Mr. Vogelaar was a retired teacher and stockman.
