Services Held
Services for Alice Blanche Robison Simbro were held Friday, October 27, 1995, at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Monroe. William McDonald officiated the services. Interment was in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Alice Simbro, age 79, died Tuesday, October 24, 1995, at the Pella Community Hospital.
Alice was born in Marion county, Iowa, August 6, 1916, the daughter of Ray Justice and Mary Carrie Clark Sr. She was united in marriage to Tony Ray Robison Sr. He preceded her in death in 1968. Later she married Le Roy Simbro. He died in 1978. Mrs. Simbro owned and operated Alice’s Grocery in Monroe for many years, and also did restaurant work at Hattie’s Café, the Maid Rite and also had worked at the café at the Clark and Sons Sales Company at Knoxville. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Monroe and also of the Rebekah Lodge.
Surviving is her son, Tony Ray Robison Jr. Monroe, three grandchildren, a great grandchild, and seven brothers and sisters: Ray Clark Jr., Knoxville; Wilma Schrader, Newton; Phil Clark, Knoxville; Carroll Clark, Milan, Missouri; Paul Ratcliff, Knoxville; Merrill Clark, Kansas City, Missouri; and Pamela Simbro, Pleasantville; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, both husbands, step mother, Erma Clark, and two brothers, Fred and Harold.
