Sheeler Injuries Prove Fatal
80 Year Old Jasper County Resident Was Well Known in This Vicinity
George Sheeler, 80-year-old Jasper county retired farmer, died Tuesday morning at Skiff hospital in Newton, as the result of injuries suffered in an auto accident Sunday afternoon near Fairmount.
Cause of the accident is attributed to a blowout, which threw his car out of control, turned over and pinned Mr. Sheeler under the auto. He was released by passersby and taken to Skiff hospital where the injuries proved fatal.
Mr. Sheeler was a fine, well-respected man and it is a great loss to the community when death calls the pioneers that are so well thought of, as was Mr. Sheeler.
