Life Story of Frank Sheeler
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from Crumpacker Funeral Home for Frank Willis Sheeler who passed away last Thursday at his home five miles east of Monroe.
Rev. Orin Young, pastor of the Monroe Methodist Church, conducted the services. Mrs. Orin Young was soloist accompanied by Mrs. Becky Reetz, pianist.
Pallbearers were Bert Menenga, Bob Beyer, Joe Willemsen, Floyd Stine, Jake Rozendaal and Warren Van Wyk. Interment was in the Monroe Cemetery.
Obituary
Frank W. Sheeler, son of Francis and Mary Sheeler, was born October 20, 1875 in the Tool’s Chapel community, and departed this life February 4, 1960 at the age of 84 years.
He was educated in the Marion county schools; he farmed in Nebraska and Wisconsin as well as Iowa before returning to the home farm five miles east of Monroe.
Mr. Sheeler is survived by three brothers, George of Sheldon, Ralph and Fred both of Tool’s Chapel community; two sisters, Bessie and Algie, also of Tool’s Chapel; and one niece, Mrs. Esther Reilly of Sheldon.
A brother, Harry, preceded him in death a short time ago.
