Life Story of Mrs. G. H. Shaw
Services were held Sunday, July 9, at the Rush Funeral Home for Mrs. G. H. Shaw with the Rev. Beakeman officiating.
Eva Marie Shaw, daughter of A. D. and Lavern Wood Galino, was born May 9, 1897 at Rapid City, Ill., and came to Iowa with her parents as a child. She departed this life July 7, 1972 at the Willshire Manor Nursing Home where she had been a patient for over three years.
She was married to G. H. Shaw April 1, 1918 at Reasnor, Iowa.
She is survived by her husband and one son, L. E. Shaw of Alexandria.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.
She was a member of the Horse Shoe Drive Methodist Church in Alexandria and a member of Electia Chapter Order of Eastern Star. She served as worthy matron at Monroe for two years. Interment was in the Masonic Gardens at Alexandria.
