Funeral services for Wilko Schroder of Sumner was held January 6, 1987 at the Peace United Church of Christ in Fredericksburg, Iowa. Rev. David Fye officiated with interment in Rose Hill Cemetery in Fredericksburg, Iowa.
He was born Aug. 11, 1907 in Berta, Netherlands, the son of Evert and Grace Drenth Schroder. Wilko and his parents came to the United States in May of 1913 and settled in Butler County, Iowa.
On April 8, 1939, he was united in marriage with Emma Hagedorn. To this union, a daughter, Melba was born.
Among his survivors are his wife, Emma of Sumner and his daughter, Melba, Mrs. Claude Brummett of Des Moines and two grandchildren, Leroy Korte and Lynn, Mrs. Randy Clark, both of Monroe.
