Services Held
Roy Schrader, 81, a lifelong resident of the Monroe area, died Saturday, September 22, 1990 at the Des Moines General Hospital.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe.
Arthur Nichols of Knoxville conducted services. Burial was at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery south of Prairie City.
Survivors are a stepdaughter and husband: Virginia and Frank St. John of Lusk, Wyoming, 2 step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews in the Monroe area and many other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, 8 brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Schrader was a longtime Monroe area farmer.
The son of T. A. and Martha McDaniel Schrader, he was born March 2, 1909, at Monroe.
