Funeral Services Friday For Dennis Schippers
Dennis Wayne Schippers, son of Tunis and Blanche Schippers was born March 31, 1923 on a farm west of Monroe and departed this life Wednesday, October 4 at 4 a.m. at the Mercy Hospital in Des Moines at the age of 16 years, 6 months and 2 days.
Most of his life had been spent in the Bellevue neighborhood where he attended the Monroe High School this being his Junior year.
For the last few years he had taken an active part in 4-H work and was a member of the Southern Hustlers Club of Fairview township.
He attended Sabbath school and church at the United Presbyterian church of Monroe.
He is survived by his parents; one sister, Donna Jean; his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. John Bowman of Newton, also several aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were: Melvin Smith, Prairie City; George Carson, Newton; Clarence Vander Werf, Monroe; Harold Vander Werf, Monroe; Carol Birkenholtz, Monroe; and Keith Kingdon, Monroe.

We wish to thank our friends for their many kind acts during the recent illness and death of our son and brother. We also wish to thank those responsible for the beautiful floral offerings.
