The Schiller family was saddened by the death of their son, Cpl. Jonathan Schiller. Jon, age 20, was killed in action while serving his country in Iraq on December 31, 2006. Jon was currently stationed at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas. Jon has been a life long resident of Iowa and lived in Ottumwa, Iowa, for the last 16 years. Jon was a 2004 graduate of Ottumwa High School.
Jon is survived by his parents, Bill and Liz (Waddle) Schiller and his brothers Charlie and Max. The family requests that their privacy be respected and any further inquiries should be directed to the Army information officer.
