Services Held
Funeral services for William D. Sargent, 57, of Des Moines, were held Saturday morning, May 19, 1990, at Overton Funeral Home in Des Moines on Wednesday, May 16.
Formerly of Monroe, Mr. Sargent retired from the Monroe school system in 1985 after having taught and being elementary principal here for a number of years. His mother, Wilma Sargent, had also been a teacher in the Monroe school.
The son of Guy and Wilma Sargent, he was born in Warren County, was an Army veteran and a member of the Christian Union Church.
Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by a brother, Guy Sargent, of Bridgeton, Missouri.
