Charles Sanders Rites Held July 28
Charles Edward Sanders, son of Alvis and Martha Sanders, was born February 19, 1895, in Marion County, Ia., and passed from this life at his home in Des Moines July 25, 1965, at the age of 70 years, 4 months and 15 days.
Most of his life was spent in Marion County with the exception of the past 20 years, which were spent in Des Moines.
He was a member of the Christian Church and also a veteran who served his country in World War I spending some time overseas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 brothers and sisters.
He leaves to mourn his passing two brothers, George of Oregon, and William of California; and four sisters, Nettie Cowman of Knoxville, Margie Hablitz of Des Moines, and Beulah Clark and Dorothy Scott of California; and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held July 28 at the Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville with interment in the Dunreath Cemetery.
