Thomas N. Harris, age 89 of Prairie City, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016, at Mitchell Village Care Center. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City. Burial will follow at Waveland Cemetery. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Memorials may be directed to the Prairie City Ambulance Fund or Suncrest Hospice. The son of Hulbert and Mary (Smulen) Harris, Tommy was born on April 25, 1927, in Britton, South Dakota. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Tommy farmed all of his life and raised Oxford sheep. He also worked at Walter Caldwell Feeds and Farmer's Supply Store. Tommy was also a member of the Monroe American Legion.

Tommy is survived by his sister, Nellie Harris of Prairie City; an aunt, Lillian Guy of South Dakota, several cousins and many wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Leonard. ~ The Coburn Funeral Home, Colfax, Iowa 19 Aug 2016.
