Services Held
Services for Mary Lou Rozenboom were held Saturday, April 27, 2002, at the Prairie City Christian Reformed Church in Prairie City. Rev. Adrian Eising and Pastor Greg Baum officiated the services. Cremation was to follow funeral services.
Mary Lou passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines of Lymphoma.
Mary Lou was born August 9, 1936, in Monroe the daughter of Howard and Cordella (Wilson) Van Wyngarden. She was a 1954 graduate of Prairie City High School. She retired in 2001 after 25 years in housekeeping at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Mary Lou belonged to the Prairie City Christian Reformed Church and was an honorary member of the PCM Athletic Boosters.
Survivors are two daughters and one son-in-law, Barbara Rozenboom of Newton and Jan and Dean Van Ryswyk of Monroe; two grandchildren; one brother, Donald and wife Karen Van Wyngarden of Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
