Knoxville, IA – Services for Charles Edgar Ross, 80, of Knoxville, who died of cancer Sunday at Knoxville Area Community Hospital, will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Bybee-Davis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery here.
Mr. Ross was born in Reasnor and had lived in Jasper and Marion counties. He was a retired farmer and previously was a miner, a railroad worker and a rancher.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl; a son, Dale of Des Moines; four daughters, Etta Belle Lewis of Monroe, Robinette DeReus of Reasnor, Joanna Malloy of Decatur, Ala., and Ina Abrahamson of Williamson; a sister, Lola Foreman of Redwing, Minn.; four brothers, Ivan and Otis, both of Monroe, Wilbur of Glendale, Ariz., and Ardin of Phoenix, Ariz.; 21 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Services to be Held
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 16, 1986 at Bybee & Davis Funeral Home in Knoxville at 1:30 p.m. for Edgar Ross of Knoxville. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.
Edgar Ross died January 12 at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital. He was born November 27, 1905 in Jasper County the son of Albert and Etta Steward Ross. He was united in marriage to Pearl Warner on Nov. 14, 1926 at her parent’s home near Ira, Iowa.
Surviving are his wife Pearl, one son Dale Ross of Des Moines, four daughters Etta Belle, Mrs. Harry Lewis of Monroe; Robinette, Mrs. Raymond DeReus of Reasnor; Joanna, Mrs. Duane Malloy of Decatur, Ala.; Ina, Mrs. Melvin Abrahamson of Williamson, Iowa; twenty-one grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister Lola, Mrs. Tom Foreman of Red Wing, Minn.; four brothers Ivan and Otis Ross both of Monroe; Wilbur Ross of Glendale, Ariz. and Arden Ross of Phoenix, Ariz.
