Services Held Thursday
Services for Donald P. Romaine will be held Thursday, May 19, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe. Burial will take place at Silent City Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Romaine will be held on Wednesday May 18, 2005 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Donald P. Romaine, age 79, of Monroe, died Monday, May 16, 2005 at his home.

Donald Philip Romaine was born on October 26, 1934 in Binghamton, New York, the son of George & Anna (Burdick) Romain. On November 18, 1958, he was united in marriage to Beverly Preston in Pennsylvania. He moved with his family to Monroe in 1986. Donald worked at Stone Container, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed gardening and working on cars.
Donald is survived by his wife, Beverly of Monroe; two daughters, Linelle Eldred and her husband Jeff of Newton and Laura Romaine of Altoona; a son, Kevin Romaine of Monroe; five grandchildren, Robert, Justin, Sarah, Emily and Jacob; three sisters, Trudy Haynes of Texas, Lillian Stephenson of Tennessee, and Betty Romain of New York; as well as two brothers, George and Gerald both of New York.
Preceding Donald in death were his parents and a sister, Edith.
