Services Held
Funeral services for Lelah Robson were held Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at Community Reformed Church in Newton. Burial was in Palo Alto Cemetery.
Lelah passed away February 16, 2007, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society to be used for Cancer Research can be left in Lelah’s name at the Wallace Family Funeral Home.
Born May 13, 1937, in Percy, Iowa. Lelah was the daughter of John C. and Johanna (Shoemaker) DeHaai. At the age of two she moved to Monroe. She was a 1954 graduate of Monroe High School. She was married to Larry Robson October 13, 1958, in Bethany, Missouri. After she was married she and Larry lived many places with the military, making their home in Newton in 1966. She worked at Maytag in the Dishwasher division for 30 years, retiring in 1990. Lelah belonged to the Community Reformed Church.
Survivors are two sons, Rick Robson of Washington, Iowa, and Ray (and Deena) Robson of Newton; two daughters, Janice Paulson of Newton and Carrie Duncan of Columbus, Indiana; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Marvin “Doc” DeHaai of Lincoln, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters; and one brother.
