Services Held
A time of sharing was held on Tuesday evening, August 9, 2005, at the Presbyterian Church in Monroe. Following visitation Gary’s body will be cremated and burial will take place at a later date.
Gary D. Rinehart, age 46 of Monroe, died Saturday, August 6, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Gary D. Rinehart Memorial Fund to be used for his children. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.
The son of Clinton J. & Arlene M. (Eilert) Rinehart, Gary was born on September 13, 1958, in Des Moines, Iowa. Gary graduated from Monroe High School in 1976. He worked as a mechanic at Hewitt’s Service Center in Monroe for 25 years. Gary had a passion for motorcycles and loved to tinker with his Harley. He was also a member of ABATE of Iowa. Gary also enjoyed hunting and fishing, tubing and spending time with his family and friends.
Those left to honor Gary’s life are his two children, Spencer and Sydney Rinehart; his mother, Arlene of Monroe; two brothers, Tim Rinehart and his wife Bev and Monte Rinehart and his wife Janet both of Monroe and nieces and nephews. Gary will also be greatly missed by his girlfriend, Erin Thomas and her children, Shannon Thomas and Nicholas Joint.
Preceding Gary in death was his father in 1991.
