Services held
Funeral services for John A. Rietveld, 53, of Otley, who farmed in the Otley area for 30 years, were held Thursday, February 18, 1993, at the Pella First Reformed Church.
The Rev. Dave Klanderman conducted services. Burial was in T’Lam Cemetery in rural Pella.
Memorials to the Pella First Reformed Church may be left at the Pella Garden Chapel Funeral Home.
Mr. Rietveld died Sunday at the Expo Health Care Center in Fort Dodge.
Survivors are his wife, Marlyn; a son, Bradley of Pella; two daughters and a son-in-law, Rebecca and Scott Eversman of Ely, England, and Alissa of Pella; a grandchild; and a sister, Patricia (Mrs. Elmer) Van Waardhuizen of Pella.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a member of the Pella First Reformed Church.
The son of Albert and Cora Ver Ploeg Rietveld, he was born August 13, 1939, in Mahaska County and grew up and attended school in the Pella area.
He was married to Marlyn Van Ee Aug. 19, 1960 at the Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Pella.
