Services Held
Funeral services for William Frank Randolph, 74, a resident of Newton since 1940, were held Wednesday, June 9, 1993, at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home.
The Rev. Jerry Brown, senior pastor of the First United Methodist Church, conducted services. Burial was in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Memorials in his name will be accepted.
He died Monday, June 7, 1993, at Skiff Medical Center of complications of emphysema.
Survivors are his wife, Margaret; two sons, Robert J. of Newton and Gary W. of Lawrenceville, Georgia; two granddaughters; a great grandson; and a brother, Forest of Canoga Park, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Alice Meeks, Helen Caulkins and Bernita Wearmouth.
Mr. Randolph, a life member of the Newton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1655, was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a lineman for Iowa Southern Utilities until retiring in 1980.
The son of Owen and Ida Mae Jones Randolph, he was born September 8, 1918, in the Reasnor area.
He was married to Margaret A. Payne January 9, 1948, in Newton.
