Life Story of Charles Ramage
Funeral services for Charles Edward Ramage, 59, a former Monroe resident, were held Tuesday morning at the Garden Chapel funeral Home in Monroe.
The Rev. Jerry Wolcott, pastor of the Monroe United Methodist Church, will conduct the services. Burial was in the Monroe Cemetery.
Mr. Ramage, who had been in failing health for several years, died Friday morning in Arkansas City, Kan.
Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Awtry of Searsboro, Mrs. Carm (Caroline) McCuen of Colfax; Mrs. Mary Postma and Mrs. Etta Danley, both of Newton; and two brothers, Garfield of Missouri; and Kenneth of Wichita, Ark.
Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jennie Ramage; a sister, Ida; and a brother, Ralph.
He was born Dec. 13, 1915 in Monroe and attended Monroe schools.
A former employee of the Maytag Co. of Newton, Mr. Ramage resided in California before moving to Kansas.
